This distinctive house, located in Lower Saxony, was designed to seamlessly blend elements of the urban environment into its architecture while maintaining a sense of simplicity and practicality.
The project was situated in an industrial area and required a 60/40 ratio of industrial to residential space. The centerpiece of the design is a glass-walled warehouse, which becomes illuminated at night, creating a unique and striking atmosphere. In contrast, the residential section features a finish of clinker brick and concrete, balancing the industrial aesthetic.
Additionally, the client requested a flexible layout, allowing for future transformation. This design enables the residential section to be rented out once the children move out, providing long-term adaptability for the space.
