A House on the Slope

The defining feature of this house is its expressive form, shaped by the terrain and the views across the site. On the courtyard side, the building culminates in a large cantilever containing the master bedroom and a balcony. Projecting over the slope, this volume opens toward the most compelling view and becomes the primary architectural gesture of the facade.

The approach from the street follows a different spatial narrative. A detached garage volume establishes the arrival sequence, while a formal entrance composition guides visitors toward the main entrance and draws them into the house. The contrast between the more restrained street-facing facade and the open courtyard side allows the architecture to gradually reveal itself as one moves through the site.

The courtyard is organized as a sequence of interconnected outdoor spaces. A covered terrace provides a sheltered area for year-round use, while a second terrace opens directly to the outdoors. From here, a series of steps leads down toward the lower part of the site and the spa area.

The architecture therefore descends naturally with the terrain, creating a continuous relationship between the house and the landscape. The lower level is dedicated entirely to wellness and also includes a guest bedroom. The main floor contains the shared living spaces, while the second floor forms the private zone of the house, with an additional master bedroom and direct access to the rooftop.

This vertical organization gives each level its own character and purpose. At the same time, the terraces, balconies, and rooftop establish a continuous connection between the interior and the surrounding landscape.

Ultimately, the expressive form of the house is not an isolated architectural statement, but a direct response to the site. The large cantilever, layered terraces, spa level, and private spaces create a complex yet natural spatial structure in which the architecture follows the terrain while turning it into one of the project's greatest assets.
