Sometimes architecture is born from a simple and very personal desire—to close oneself off from the outside world. To create a home that exists not for show, but for oneself. A space turned inward, where a sense of security, silence, and one's own rhythm become paramount.
This isn't our studio's first work with such a typology. We've already explored the theme of a closed house and its private interior space in the Nemo project, and here it takes on a new, more architecturally rich dimension.
At the center of the composition is the courtyard, the "safe" core of the house around which all life is built. With an area of approximately 800 m² and a complex floor plan, the volume was divided into two barns. This approach allowed us to avoid a heavy monolithic roof, maintain a clean silhouette, and let in more sunlight. The broken plane of the roofs not only creates visual lightness, but also a feeling of airiness and freedom inside.
