The KAMPULAB project focused on designing the public areas of a laboratory. Our architectural studio developed the interiors for the entrance, conference, lounge, visitors, and reception areas. The design features a minimalistic and clean aesthetic, creating a functional and inviting space. Upon entering, visitors encounter unique art pieces that double as furniture, such as poufs and lamps arranged in a sculptural composition.
The rest areas are a highlight of the design. One lounge zone includes a comfortable seating area paired with a mini-garden, viewable through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. A notable feature is a wall coated with marker-friendly paint, perfect for brainstorming and discussions in the lounge area. Another seating area incorporates a meeting room that can be enclosed using sliding partitions, enhancing flexibility. The dining area seamlessly transitions into the lounge. The exterior wall of the conference room, clad in metal panels and accented with distinctive lighting, adds a futuristic, lab-inspired touch to the space.
