This house is one of three in a settlement project located in Mongolia. The design consists of two blocks: a ground level and an upper level. The ground floor includes an entrance hall with a checkroom, a garage, and technical facilities. The upper level houses the living spaces, featuring two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a study, and a large common area that opens to the backyard.
With its hot summers and frigid winters, Mongolia's continental climate poses unique challenges. To address the risk of overheating and freezing, we incorporated overhangs around the perimeter of the common area, effectively blocking direct sunlight. The master bedroom features façade shutters, which can be opened to enjoy the surrounding views while offering protection from harsh weather conditions.
