CLIFF HOUSE

Architectural project

Project description

In this project, we needed to combine the seemingly incongruous: a brutal and closed “Batman’s house” and a cozy home for a married couple. Therefore, we took a cubic monovolume as a basis, distorted it a little to make it more unobvious and complex. We made the façade from the street side blank and aloof, orienting all the panoramic windows, the terrace and the cantilevered extension to the courtyard.

Facade materials were selected in such a way as to convey tranquility with every look at and interaction with the house. Textured concrete plaster, metal and fiber panels maximize the potential of the environment and light and shade.

In the planning solution, all premises were designed from the point of view of creating the most comfortable conditions. The windows of the bedrooms face south, west or east, and in the technical and auxiliary rooms - to the north. We also provided for the presence of a bathroom in each individual block, which eliminates the intersection of flows of permanent residents and guests.
